Rental terms and conditions

1. Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed when we have accepted it in writing and received the agreed deposit, normally 40% of the rental price. The balance is due when the vehicle is handed over or the driver arrives. Prices on this website are guide rates; the price on your confirmation is the one that applies.

2. Self-drive rentals

• The renter must be at least 23 years old and have held a driving licence for two years or more.
• The renter shows a valid driving licence and a passport or Ghana Card, and pays a refundable security deposit.
• Only drivers named on the rental agreement may drive the vehicle.
• The vehicle may not be used for hire or reward, racing, towing, or driven under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Tell us before taking the vehicle outside the area stated in your booking.

3. Rentals with a driver

The daily rate covers the vehicle and driver for up to 10 hours. Extra hours are charged at the hourly rate on your confirmation. On overnight trips outside Accra the customer pays for the driver's lodging and meals.

4. Fuel, tolls and fines

Fuel, road tolls and parking are paid by the customer. Self-drive vehicles are supplied with a full tank and are returned full. Traffic fines incurred during a self-drive rental are the renter's responsibility.

5. Insurance, damage and breakdowns

Vehicles carry comprehensive insurance. On self-drive rentals the renter is responsible for the insurance excess and for damage caused by negligence or by a breach of these terms. Report any accident, theft or breakdown to us immediately. If a vehicle cannot continue because of a mechanical fault, we repair or replace it as quickly as we can.

6. Changes and cancellations

Tell us as early as possible if your plans change. We will move your dates where the vehicle is available. The cancellation terms for your rental are written on your booking confirmation.

7. Returning the vehicle

Return the vehicle at the agreed time and place, in the condition you received it. Late returns are charged at the hourly or daily rate.
